The Bucksaw is a tree planting archive and a draft autobiography. My intent is to leave a two dimensional record of my experiences plantings trees over my lifetime. Benvenuto Cellini wisely wrote in 1558 in his own autobiography that “all men of whatsoever quality they be, who have done anything of excellence, or which may properly resemble excellence, ought, if they are persons of truth and honesty, to describe their life with their own hand; but they ought not to attempt so fine an enterprise till they have passed the age of forty.”  I’ve decided to jump the gun a year. At first I’ll look back and then I’ll build forward, marking my way through trees in the coming forty.
